Dr. Shari Samson, MD

Founder & Medical Director | Board-Certified Anesthesiologist | Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Specialist

Dr. Shari Samson is a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience. After decades caring for patients in high-acuity settings, she founded Torus Mind & Medicine to create a more connected approach to mental health and healing. Her work bridges modern neuroscience, ketamine-assisted therapy, functional medicine, and women's health, with a special focus on the relationship between hormones, the nervous system, and emotional well-being. She believes that lasting healing begins by understanding the whole person, not just their symptoms.

Through advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy, preparation and integration, somatic practices, yoga, and Ayurvedic philosophy, Dr. Samson brings together medical precision with compassionate, whole-person care. She is a certified Chopra educator, yoga instructor, and retreat facilitator, and provides care in English, Hebrew, and Spanish. At Torus, she combines decades of clinical expertise with a deeply personalized approach, helping patients find meaningful, lasting change.

Integration Therapist

Integration therapy provides a space to reflect on and make meaning of what emerges through ketamine-assisted therapy. An integration therapist helps you explore new perspectives, emotions, memories, and insights that may surface during treatment, then thoughtfully connect those experiences to your everyday life. Rather than interpreting the experience for you, they offer compassionate guidance as you identify what feels meaningful, recognize patterns, and consider what you want to carry forward. The goal is to help transform moments of insight into greater self-understanding, intentionality, and lasting change.
